This 96-hour Medical Administrative Assistant Training Program combines theory and practical instruction to prepare you to work in the medical field. Topics are covered through a combination of lecture and practical skill training. Course instruction includes: Telephone and Computer skills, Appointment Scheduling, Medical Record Handling, Filing and Billing, Insurance Coding, Transcription and General Office Etiquette

Recognition

Upon successful completion of this course, students will receive a certificate of completion and be qualified to work as an Medical Administrative Assistant.

Prerequisites

There are no minimum state requirements for enrollment. We recommend that students are at least 18 years of age and have earned a high school diploma or its equivalent.

Preassessment

Once you are enrolled, prior to the start of class, you will take a preassessment online. This covers basic English language, reading and comprehension as well as basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals and percentages).
